Lisa started riding horses at the age of 7.  She began her riding career in 1970 at Via Verde Equestrian Center in Covina, CA.  She learned riding basics and started Jumping at the age of 8.  In 1974 she moved to Rainbow Canyon Ranch in Azusa and continued there until 1977.  Looking for a bit if change she became a working student for Sue Wood, a Western Trainer in 1978.  She enjoyed learning a new discipline of riding.  Lisa continued competing on her horse, Meri Beth, in hunter/jumper shows in Southern California and Arizona. In 1981 she started working for Gretchen Clark as a working student.  Lisa also started with some of her own clients in Covina Hills, the neighborhood that she grew up in. Lisa continued with these clients until 1984 when her and her husband moved to the High Desert.
Lisa opened her business, Royal Wind Farm in 1984 in Victorville, CA.  She started with many new beginners and continued to travel to Covina to do some training there.  In 1988 her first child was born and she cut back on the horses.  Her horse, Meri Beth, she leased out at the age of 20 to Rob Gage and Cindy Grossman (Merritt) at LA Equestrian Center to teach many young riders.  They had Meri Beth for a little over a year and she then went to Cindy Cruciotti at Industry Hills, where at 24 was Short Stirrup Champion at Flintridge Children's show.  Cindy continued to use her until her age and laminitis became to much for her.  She went home to the High Desert with Lisa and passed away in 1994.
In 1995 Lisa was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and for the next 6 years was not involved with horses and never dreamed they would be part of her life again, but in 2001 her kids showed an interest in riding and they leased a horse for the kids to ride. Her son was 11 and her daughter 9 enjoyed their new adventure with horses.  Jennifer her daughter started competing in the local 4-H club and in 2003 was the State Classic English Walk-Trot Champion.  Lisa trained Jennifer and she won many equitation classes.  When Jennifer turned 15 Lisa  sent her to Kelly Clevenger in Chino Hills for more advanced training and Jennifer won two Equitation Championships at 2007 Ocsha Final in San Juan Capistrano.
In order to finance Jennifer's competitions Lisa began again to teach and eventually train kids and horses, something she never thought she would be able to do with Lupus.  In 2007 Lisa moved her new business to Western Star Ranch in Hesperia.  She has been teaching lessons and training for the last three years and her students have begun competing in the Inland Empire Hunter Jumper Association.
This year Lisa has some up and coming students that will be starting their horse showing experiences in this association.  Lisa always ensures that her students understand the horses and their care before she allows them to begin competing in horse shows.

We haved moved once more and are now located at Skye's The Limit Ranch in Apple Valley.  We have settled in well and plan on a long stay.
